House Chef

We have a fantastic opportunity for a House Chef to join the Chartwells Independent team at Rugby School. This is a day and boarding co-educational independent school and one of the oldest independent schools in Britain. The Chef Manager will be part of a large brigade within the school overseeing one of the 16 boarding houses on site.

As the Chef Manager you will have a passion for food and have excellent culinary skills. The Chef Manager will have the assistance c8 staff and will be reporting the group Head Chef on site. You will be catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner all from the highest quality products. If this sounds like you we would love to hear from you.

Package description

 

  • Up to £12.49 per hour
  • 41.5 hours per week plus over time  
  • 5 out of 7 days between 6.30am - 8pm        
  • Free car parking
  • Free meals on duty
  • Free uniforms

Main responsibilities

 

 

  • Managing a  small team
  • Catering for  breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Catering for up to c70 meals each service
  • Responsible for the P&L accounts
  • Training and motivating staff
  • Fully responsible for all the H&S and F&H regulations
  • Build an excellent relationship with the client and students
  • Ensure all customer requirements are delivered in line with the expectation
