Reigate College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Sports Centre Supervisor to run the College’s out of hours Sports Centre activities.

The successful applicant will be required to work with a team of staff to supervise lettings and gym users and deliver other leisure opportunities such as activity classes.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience within the leisure or sports industry
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Ability to offer classes e.g. circuit training, yoga, boxercise etc would be an advantage.

The post requires commitment and flexibility in the approach to work and excellent time management skills.

The Centre

The Sports Centre comprises of one large Sports Hall, one smaller Sports Hall (ideal for fitness classes) and a gym.

Two Sports Centre Supervisors currently oversee the College’s lettings and local membership for the gym facilities. However, the opportunity for significant development of the provision is now available and a new role of Sports Centre Manager will oversee two new Sports Centre Supervisors, with the clear aim of providing an outstanding provision for its members and a more comprehensive use of facilities.

Therefore, the post holder will be able to work closely with the Sports Centre Manager to shape and develop initiatives and experiences.

Salary

The salary for this post is from £7,457.04 to £7,877.59 per annum (£18,104 to £19,125 FTE).

Hours

The post is available immediately on a permanent, part-time basis. The hours of work are allocated on a two week rotation as follows:

  • Week 1:

5.00pm – 10.00pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

  • Week 2:

5.30pm – 10.00pm Thursday and Friday and a weekend shift, which will be allocated as either 8.00am – 2.00pm on Saturdays or 10.00am – 4.00pm on Sundays

Equating to a total of 15 hours per week (41.19%). There could be some flexibility in these hours and there may be scope for these hours to increase according to demand.
