About The Role

You will be responsible for leading a smooth and efficient catering operation that covers our main seated kitchen area and our takeaway quick kitchens. Passionate about our cause you will know our food and business inside out and deliver operational goals, excellent standards and behaviours in line with our values to ensure we attain the highest levels of service and memorable moments for our customers.You will lead by example as a hands on member of the team, as well as providing support and offering guidance to team leaders and team members to ensure they are always able to deliver.

You will also;

  1. Through coaching and presence in the department you will engage and enable your team to deliver brilliant customer service and oversee day to day operations
  2. Lead your team to maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment that is compliant with legal and company procedures
  3. Share your expertise to ensure your team develop excellence in all company procedures including cash-handling and stock management and complete their learning journey
  4. Demonstrate a creative mind set to deliver commercial success meeting sale, waste and margin targets 
  5. Know your numbers; consider all costs operate in line with budget guidelines 
  6. Look at the business through the eyes of our customers to spot and act on opportunities that will bring commercial benefit, ensuring you work to continuously improve, and impress
  7. Work with the catering manager with rota planning including scheduling, recruitment , absence and holiday management to meet customer needs
  8. Manage performance development and conduct issues through motivation, coaching and company procedures
  9. Ensure your team represent our values at all times, through their behaviours, communication and customer service

About You

Experience working in a high volume catering operation with knowledge of introducing seasonal menus is essential. Our ideal candidate would be experienced in managing financial controls within a kitchen operation including sales, stock management and wastage controls as well as having experience of recruiting, training and developing a team. You should also be Food Safety Level 2 trained as a minimum.
