Assistant Manager - Ink - Seven Dials Market, London
Reporting to: Manager of Store
We want to grow a really cool, modern and sustainable fish and chip brand with sites around the UK. We are looking for someone who is forward thinking with attention to detail, a passion for food, sustainability and design, excellent drive and determination who is willing to get stuck in and wants to grow with an independent business would be great for this role.
Role and Responsibilities: To translate the concept and idea of Ink Squid Bar into a successfully operating store, taking responsibility for the smooth running of the store and the implementation, evolution and ongoing improvement of standards and profitability as well as keeping your team motivated and finding new team members when needed. You will work directly alongside the general manager.
In addition to normal store assistant duties as an Assistant store Manager you will be asked to perform extra duties of; you will be responsible for the overseeing and control of all ordering in the absence of the General Manager whether you or another store assistant places the order, keeping food to the correct specification therefore training and developing other store assistants, all cash banking and posting banking slip pictures into the banking group in the general managers absence, control of all change and money ordering, the counting of stock every week in the absence of general manager.
To achieve world class standards in order to exceed customer expectations and to act as a role model for staff and an ambassador for Ink, reflecting its unique culture, positive attitude and excellent standards at all times.
Normal store assistant duties are as follows; opening and closing the site when required, using the till and cashing up in the general managers absence, cooking and serving food and cleaning duties. Placing simple food orders and checking deliveries off invoices.
You accept that you may be required to perform other reasonable duties or tasks outside the scope of your normal duties.
You shall not work for any other competitor to the company while you are employed by the company.
Hours of work: Your contracted hours of employment are 48 hours per week. These hours may increase above 48 hours per week, in the event of hours increasing these hours will be paid in leau. You will be required to sign an opt out agreement to The Working Time Regulations of 1998.
Breaks are permitted, in accordance with your Line Managers’ approval.
Place of work: Your place of work will be at Seven Dials Market and at such other places as the
Company may require. You may be required to travel during the course of your employment. You will not be required to work outside of the United Kingdom for periods in excess of four weeks in any year.
Pay: Starting Salary £25,000 Per annum and 28 days paid holiday.
