THORPE PARK Resort is looking for a Retail Store Supervisor (Fixed Term)!

 We are currently recruiting for a Retail Store Supervisor (Fixed Term).  It's the perfect time to join us as the Resort will be closing and you'll be given plenty of time to prepare your team for the 2020 season (...did we mention you'll have the Christmas period off?).  In this role you will be responsible for one or more shops and kiosks out on Resort; with the shops being your business, you’ll be challenged with thinking outside of the box regularly and constantly reviewing what is being done. New ideas and concepts are encouraged and if agreed, you will be responsible for the implementation of these.

 As a Retail Store Supervisor you will need high standards when it comes to visual merchandising, excellent attention to detail and the ability to react quickly. You will control all aspects of your shops from profit and loss accounts, to mystery shops results, sales performance and recruitment and training of your teams. Reporting into the Senior Retail Operations Manager, you’ll work closely together to review the performance of your business against targets and develop this further.

 The Retail department strives to deliver excellent service and create memorable moments in our shops to our guests and the mystery shop is high on the agenda every day. Your team will include seasonal hosts, senior hosts and team leaders, as a Retail Unit Manager it is critical you motivate your team to deliver 100% all of the time.

 Additionally, during our open season you will be given the role of department Duty Manager on allocated days; the set-up and smooth running of the retail department on that day is down to you. This means you work with the teams in all shops across the Resort ensuring retail standards are high. You will be the point of call for all things retail from the teams in retail and other departments across the Resort.

 We are looking for the following skills and experience for this exciting challenge;

    Experience of managing a team Experience of managing targets and KPI’s including sales, service, health and safety and hygiene  Excellent time management skills Able to speak confidently in meetings The ability to organise effectively in a high task role Respond well and is accepting of change A passion and motivation for success A keen interest in developing yourself and your team

 This role is Full Time, Fixed Term, averaging 40 hours per week and will include weekends and bank holidays as required.
