About this role:

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a dynamic, hardworking and passionate individual who has the ability to drive forward the successful operation of Wigan Life Centre which currently attracts over half a million visitors each year.

You will support with the commercial management of the Centre with the existing team, and will be accountable for specific responsibilities as agreed with the General Manager that support achievement of departmental targets and objectives.

You will be part of a management team, who will have a passion for health and fitness whilst requiring the skill set to effectively ensure all health and safety operational procedures are maintained.

You will lead the team at the site ensuring that all staff are engaged and delivering excellent customer service, and that the site is covered appropriately by qualified staff.

We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude towards this crucial role.  You should have a flexible approach to work and a strong leadership and a commercial acumen with the commitment to the highest standards of customer care, having the ability to lead a team by leading by example.

Applicants MUST hold:

• Current First Aid Certificate,and have relevant experience in a Sports/Leisure discipline or significant experience covering the range of duties outlined within this job profile and have the ability to put this into practice within the management role.

• GCSE subjects (Grade C and over) OR to be able to pass a numeracy/literacy test OR evidence of completion of Level 2 Functional Skills tests (as part of NVQ).

• A valid Pool Plant qualification is a pre-requisite for this role.
