Salary

Up to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience

Work Pattern

Mainly dayshift Monday to Friday but flexibility is required.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Retail Finance Team as a Finance Analyst. The role will be based at our Head Office in Newcastle upon Tyne and the main focus is to support the Finance Business Partner for Retail.

• Produce regular reporting to support a wide range of retail and finance stakeholders
• Streamline and improve existing reporting using a number of reporting tools
• Provide insightful analytical support on a range of ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives
• Analyse key trends, highlighting opportunities for improvement
• As part of the wider retail finance team get involved in:
  • Regular forecasting
  • Budgeting
  • Delivery of cost reduction projects
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-functional projects

Skills

• Strong academic background
• Graduate looking for a career in finance and wanting to complete a professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
• Analytical and inquisitive in nature with a high level of numeracy and attention to detail
• Strongly IT-literate with advanced Excel skills and ability to manipulate data. Good knowledge of business intelligence software would be advantageous.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Self-motivated with willingness to learn
• Organised and able to prioritise and manage own workload
• Good communicator with the ability to develop strong working relationships
• Sound level of commercial awareness
