Information Technology Business Engagement Manager – Part Time


PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION IS A PART TIME POSITION WORKING 3 DAYS A WEEK.

Asda’s IT team are recruiting for a Business Engagement Manager, we’re looking for someone who wants to be at the heart of delivering change to our Retail teams.

Supporting the Senior Programme and Engagement Manager, you will work with the business and other key stakeholders to shape the Technology Portfolio ensuring that we are working on the right things at the right time. There is a great team of project managers alongside you, they will deliver the projects you set up and often come to you for guidance and support. There’s lots of variety in this role, one day you will be meeting potential vendors another discussing the long term plans of the Finance team. The next day you will challenging a business case for a project or updating our CIO on progress against a Security Risk.

What you’ll be responsible for:Work with the relevant stakeholders to produce and maintain a prioritised pipeline of technology change activity.Lead pre project activities across the portfolio, ensuring that projects are handed over to the Project Manager with a clear business case, funding and resources.Build and facilitate relationships between technology teams in the UK, around the globe and with external third parties (vendors, consultancies).Support the Senior Programme and Engagement Manager with Stakeholder communications including reporting and attending steering groups.Engage in opportunities to enhance our ways of working.
