Tattu is an award-winning, independent, family-owned business founded in 2015 by two young brothers. The brand set out with a clear vision – to bring something unique and engaging to the restaurant industry making a permanent mark on the UK’s culinary scene. The word Tattu is derived from a combination of ‘Tattoo’ the art form that inspires our stunning interiors and ‘Tatau’ which is an ancient word from eastern culture that means to ‘make a mark’. Our aim was to build a customer experience around the brand that stimulates all senses – fusing quality and innovative Chinese cooking with beautiful and meaningful design. 

The Role:

The primary role of the Group Health and Safety Manager is to ensure legal compliance and risk management through a robust system of policies and procedures across our sites.

• Provide day to day leadership on all areas of health and safety and food safety in our business
• Act as the central support function for health and safety and food safety across our sites
• Write and review the company health and safety/ food safety policies and update according to legislation 
• Be knowledgeable and qualified whilst being practically minded
• Help to ensure that all the team are committed to and engage with health and safety and food safety
• Hold a recognised health and safety/ food safety qualification - IOSH trained & Food Safety Level 4
• Be confident and capable to train and coach senior and junior managers in health and food safety
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy 
• Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance of all of our sites, providing reports and statistical data to the directors of your findings.
• Be able to work with and manage our external health and safety suppliers
• Have previous experience in a health and safety/ food safety role within hospitality
• Be happy to travel for work on a regular basis
