Hospitality Duty Manager x 2 (Customer Service) - Luxury retirement living development

‘The Red House’ is a new luxury retirement village for over 55s, developed by Enterprise Retirement Living in association with Barnardo Developments Ltd. The development comprises of 59 apartments and is situated in beautiful landscaped gardens on Palace Road, Ripon. The Red House boasts facilities including the Fountains Restaurant, bar, luxurious lounges, gym and a hair and beauty salon.

To complement our existing team, we are seeking to appoint two Duty Managers who will contribute to ensuring that our owners receive the highest quality of service.

What will this role of Hospitality Duty Manager (Customer Service) entail?

  • Managing a team of colleagues including general assistants, cooks and an administrator
  • Co-ordinating building maintenance
  • Managing a quality catering provision
  • Supervising events
  • Deputising for the General Manager in their absence

What will I need in order to be considered for this Hospitality Duty Manager (Customer Service) role?

  • Proven experience in a customer focused environment such as retail or hospitality
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Although not essential, previous management experience within a customer focused environment is preferred, however applications are welcome from those wanting to progress to management level.

What will I receive in return?

As the Hospitality Duty Manager, you’ll be employed on a permanent contract and receive a salary of £15,184 per annum (equivalent to £10.43 per hour) for an average of 28 hours per week.

In addition, there will be approximately 2 sleepovers per week (for which sleepover allowance will be payable) working a shift pattern to cover a 24/7 rota.

There are additional hours to cover colleagues’ annual leave entitlement. With the additional hours and sleepovers, an annual pay range of £19,000 to £20,000 is achievable
