Based in a stunning countryside location on the outskirts of Oxford, The Oxfordshire is a luxury 4 Star Hotel and Spa is looking to recruit a Reception Manager to cover maternity leave you will manage their front of house reception and night team. The Reception Manager is a key part of the management team, who will report directly into the Hotel Manager; with a keen eye for detail, they will ensure that the service standards exceed the Guest and Members expectations, whilst delivering service with a smile at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the front of house and night teams ensuring that the service standards are exceptional, and, that, at all times the guest care is at the desired standards.
  • Guest satisfaction is key and evaluation of this will be used to ensure the high standards are being maintained; making recommendations where necessary.
  • Ensure that guest bills are accurate and be aware of the various methods of payment that are accepted by the company.
  • Ensure training and development within the Reception/Night team is up to date and keep accurate records for this.
  • Standards and Procedures are to be updated and maintained for the reception teams, ensuring compliance within the teams.
  • Assume Duty Management shifts as required.
  • Manage staff performance in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain excellent communication and working relationships with all departments.

The Ideal candidate

Will possess a professional and friendly manner, work well under pressure, whilst maintaining exceptional customer care skills; in addition they will have previous front office management experience, and ideally be a proficient user of Opera PMS.
