Environmental Breckland are looking to hire an HGV Driver on a permanent basis.

As an HGV Driver, the purpose of the job will be to carry out refuse/recycling & Bulky Waste Collection service duties as per the contract requirement throughout the year.

On a day to day basis, the successful HGV Driver’s duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

• To carry out programme works as part of the refuse/recycling & Bulky Waste Collection service requirements on a daily/weekly basis with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.
• To understand Contract requirements, the specification of all refuse/recycling & Bulky Waste Collection service
• To identify and understand key performance indicators and ensure that these are met.
• To regularly report to line manager progress on works and any matters which arise affecting delivery.
• Responsible for the daily inspection and reporting procedure for machinery, prior and on completion of usage, including vehicles.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
• To ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are met.
• To undergo specific training to improve skill levels and knowledge of Contract requirements as and when defined training is identified as being required or available.

Environmental Breckland are looking to hear from candidates who ideally have some experience or knowledge of refuse/recycling, a clean HGV / Driving licence essential & up to date CPC and self-motivation.
