We currently have an exciting development opportunity for an engaged and enthusiastic, results orientated individual with a passion for people.
You will be responsible for driving and delivering the Retail People Strategy across the 464 shops in our fabulous West Region.
Reporting into the Retail People Manager, the role will involve working closely with the retail management team and supporting the People Advisors and Recruitment Manager with the ever-changing workload. In addition, the role will involve the implementation of the people policies and company procedures to ensure the business is not put at risk and continues to focus on the importance of people whilst delivering business objectives. Covering an area centred around Cardiff, this is a job share position and will involve working 3 days a week between Monday and Friday. Join the Family

Job Description-
Supporting the Retail People Manager in the development of the regional people plan
Effectively implementing the people plan within the West territory, acting as a role model for all people managemnet activities
Ensuring the effective implementation of people policies and procedures providing professional expertise
Coaching and supporting Area/Shop Management to ensure an effective understanding of their role and responsibilities with regards to people policies, procedures and strategy
Ensuring an effective and consistent approach to people management in relation to disciplinary, grievance and employee consultation
Building an effective working relationship with regional union representatives
Communicationg to the Retial People Manager any gaps or development needs in relation to people policies and procedures, and assisting in reviewing/updating existing policies and procedures
Undertaking and then delivering training to Shop and Senior Managemnet teams
Supporting recruitment, succession planning and performance managemnet activities within the territory
Participating in projects where requested and as agreed with the Retail People Manager
Supporting the managemnet of all employee absence and wellbeing within the region
Demonstrating enthusiams and encouraging teams in line with comany values, promoting a culture of leadership
Ensuring the effective implementation of people policies and procedures by providing timely guidance and support
Ensuring an effective and consistent approach to people managemnet in relation to employee relations and consultation
Supporting the managemnet of all employee absence and wellbeing within the region
Involvemnet in People projects

Previous experience of managing difficult situations.
A proven track record of delivering great results , developing people and dealing with complex people situations.
Experience of juggling high priority tasks to ensure timeframes are met.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Effective communication skills across all levels
Ability to influence the right decision and outcome to ensure the company is kept legal at all times.
Computer literate
An excellent standard of written English
Full UK driving license and willing to do extensive travel to fulfil the role
