Would you like to be part of one of the most recognisable and iconic charity brands? YMCAFit is a leader in the field of health, wellbeing and education, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Tutor Manager to join our team, to mentor and inspire our Health and Fitness Tutors.

About the Role

  1. Tutor Management: Manage a team of around 50 freelance tutors and assessors and ensure the right number of tutors are available in all locations to deliver the YMCAFit programme.
  1. Support: Assist the Training and Quality Manager, programme, learner support and sales teams through monitoring and evaluating tutor performance
  1. Customer care: Work with the Training and Quality Manager, to review and improve levels of customer care within with the vision of the Charity.
  1. Programme Directing/Assessing: Deliver YMCAFit training and assessments where necessary

About You

You will be an experienced Manager capable of motivating and progressing your team. Strong communication skills are essential, both face to face and remotely.

You should also have the following experience:

  • Level 2 and Level 3 Fitness Instructor Qualifications
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent)
  • Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (or equivalent)
  • Course Director experience
  • Evidence of exemplary teaching skills in a practical and theoretical setting
  • Proven track record in the assessment of exercise and fitness across a range of disciplines at Level 2 and 3

It is also important that you are able to work weekends, unsocial hours and travel when required.
