Junior Designer - Wolverhampton

We are currently looking for an energetic, passionate, hard-working and creative Junior Designer to join our vibrant Marketing team. You will support and report into the Lead Creative, having the opportunity to work on an array of projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a bright spark to build their portfolio in the pub and brewing industry at Marston’s, one of the UK’s leading hospitality companies!

The customer is at the heart of everything we do, so it is essential all our creative packs in personality whilst maintaining readability and reflecting our culture. 

We need someone motivated and resilient with a strong eye for detail - ensuring quality and consistency with all of our design.

You will be able to produce high-quality artwork. This includes comprehensive layouts with strong typography, use of colour and an appropriate use of images from our own bank of commissioned photography or stock libraries.

You will produce a huge variety of materials including menu layouts, event posters, banners, presentations, branding, social and web assets.

We want you to have a strong desire to learn, develop your skills and remain cool and calm whilst working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to meet deadlines. 

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Proficient with using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. • Understanding and experience in layout, colour theory and typography in both print and digital media.• Able to use Microsoft Office and creating PowerPoint presentations. • Strong conceptual skills, with the ability to iterate quickly and easily responding constructively to feedback.• Be able to produce print ready artwork• Excellent time management and strong ability to handle multiple projects at one time. DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Understanding and experience in corporate branding.• Understanding print production and technical pre-press knowledge. ADDITIONAL BONUS SKILLS BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

• Animation / GIF creation• Experience working with photographers on both stills and video shoots• Knowledge of HTML• Illustration skills. WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN:
