Our Logistics teams ensure the efficient movement of stock, stationary, parcels and equipment to deliver a seamless operating environment in Debenhams Oxford Street. As a Logistics Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the logistics team and will oversee the building’s loading bay and service areas.

You will be a positive and confident individual, who has an organised and flexible approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure. You will have the skills to coach colleagues, to solve problems and make effective decisions, delegating where appropriate. An understanding of retail and operational procedures is essential and you will need to be numerate as well as computer literate.

Your key accountabilities will be to:

·  Lead and manage the logistics team giving clear direction to ensure team operate safely

·  Manage the loading bays and basement stock area, ensuring the smooth passage of deliveries

·  Comply with company policy and procedures surrounding the operation of the Loading Bay and ensure that goods are correctly receipted

·  Manage the out of hours loading bay / stock pre retail team

·  Work with key stakeholders across the Store and Support Centre to ensure all requirements are met

·  Manage waste removal across the store

·  Manage the lift lobbies or goods service areas ensuring that areas remain clear of waste, stock and fixtures

·  Oversee the delivery of post across the building

·  Ensure a stock loss action plan is in place to reduce loss to the business
