DEPARTMENT: Chelsea FC Foundation
REPORTING TO: Berks, Bucks and Middlesex Officer
JOB FUNCTION: To deliver, support and oversee high quality sports provision across the counties of Berks, Bucks and Middlesex.
CONTRACT: Part-time
LOCATION: Reading
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To deliver and support in the development of a Berks, Bucks and Middlesex wide sports development programme.
- To support on the effective planning and delivery of a school's activity programme across Berks, Bucks and Middlesex.
- To deliver and support the effective planning required for all soccer schools delivered in Berks, Bucks and Middlesex.
- To actively seek sporting opportunities across Berks, Bucks and Middlesex, to further enhance the delivery programme.
- To work closely with the Co-ordinators and Officer to understand all of the financial aspects around each of the programmes.

- Positive feedback from schools, groups, organisations, participants and parents.
- Achieving set budgetary targets for each activity, sustainability of the business.
- To be a positive role model, creating a safe, positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage young people to be successful.
- Able to deliver safe high quality coaching sessions and ability to mentor and educate.
- Ability to work in a confident and flexible manner and understand the importance of private and confidential material.
- Ability to network, be resourceful and cross sell activity.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications
Essential
- 1st 4 Sport Level 2 FA coaching award.
- In date Safeguarding children & first aid certificate.
- Five GCSE's including maths and English.
- Clean driving licence.
Desirable
- 1st 4 Sport Level 3 or 4 coaching award.
- Other sports qualifications.
- A levels, degrees and/or masters.
- Mini-bus licence or D1.
Experience
Essential
- Managed a project or team to achieve set targets.
- Working with and in line with a budget.
- An understanding of community sport.
- Knowledge of the 'every child matters' framework.
- IT literate.
- Supervising young people/participants and volunteers.
- Communication skills - to young people as a positive role model, sessional coaches, teachers, parents, youth managers, steering groups and local partners.
- Multi-tasking and problem solving.
Desirable
- 3 years of coaching experience.
- To have devised and delivered a coaching syllabus.
- Knowledge of government agendas and funding streams.
The Employee must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities with due regard to Chelsea FC Foundation policies and procedures in particular Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and with regard to the Data Protection Act. The Employee must act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are in their care or attending the Company's premises. The Employee must report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the Foundation Safeguarding Lead.
