Area Support Chef - Head Office - Salford

We are looking for someone to join our Head Office team, in a brand new role created mainly to support the chefs in our busy kitchens.

Who are we?

Hydes Brewery own over 50 pubs split between managed houses, fully operated by the company, and tenancies which are let to independent operators. Our pubs are located in the North West of England, North Wales and Staffordshire. Our pub estate includes destination food houses, suburban locals and town centre venues. We aim to make every one of our sites the best in it’s locality. We have been so successful that some of our pubs have won national awards, as has Hydes Brewery itself.

The role and youYou’ll be working across our patch – mainly on the M56 corridor and stretching out into Stockport and nearby, so it’s important that you are local.

 

 

 

Whilst the main day to day is about providing strong relief cover when our Head or Sous chefs are on holiday - coaching chefs on site and being involved in menu development are also parts of the role.

 

The standard working week is Thursday to Monday inclusive and most all of the time will be spent in our sites with all business travel mileage paid.

The role reports directly to an Operations Manager who looks after our fresh food sites, some of which can take £20K net of food a week - and the successful candidate will also work closely with the Catering Development Manager.

So do you have the ingredients that we are looking for?

  • Take 1 qualified and experienced chef
  • Who has worked as a Sous or Head Chef in kitchens taking at least £10K a week net food
  • Stir in some great coaching - people learn quickly and happily when you’re around
  • Add some approachable personable leadership
  • Add a 5* kitchen in terms of food hygiene
  • Top off with a confidence when communicating both in person and in writing
