The stunning five star resort; Hawkchurch Resort and Spa now has a Food and Beverage Assistant position available to join their friendly team.

Hawkchurch Resort and Spa is proud to offer five star accommodation and facilities on it’s resort located close to Axminster in Devon. With a spa, gym, restaurant and bar, excellent customer service is expected at all times in all areas.

The successful applicant to the Food and Beverage Assistant role will work within the busy front of house team to look after guests during their visit to the bar and restaurant areas. You will take on a range of day to day responsibilities including clearing tables, resetting restaurant tables promptly, ensuring the cleanliness of the general restaurant and bar areas and of course taking food and drink orders and delivering these in a timely, professional manner.

Our new Food and Beverage Assistant will quickly become a key part of the Hawkchurch Resort and Spa team, and as such, we are looking for someone with enthusiasm and excellent standards of customer service.

As our bar and restaurant are open a majority of the time, flexibility to work is required as shifts may include weekdays, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, however this also means we have a range of hours available to suit all availabilities.

The Food and Beverage Assistant role is ideal for anyone looking for Hospitality, bar or waiting on positions around Axminster and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Serving food and beverages quickly and efficiently in line with our high standards.
• Clearing and resetting tables.
• Maintaining our 5 star standards when it comes to the cleanliness of the bar and restaurant area.
• Efficient and accurate operation of Epos systems for cash handling purposes.
• Efficient rotation of our stock and merchandise both in fridges and on shelves.

What experience you will need

• Previous experience in a similar customer service role is desired but not necessarily essential.

What skills you will need

• Excellent customer service skills are an essential for the successful applicant.
• Good levels of communication skills are essential for this customer focused role.
• Successful applicant will have a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn.
• A Full UK Driving licence and ability/willingness to drive is advantageous to this role given the variability of hours.
