Pay Rates Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours

Hours: 39

Rotating 3 shift:
Days - Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00 and Saturday 06:00 - 13:00
Backs - Monday - Friday 14:00- 22:00
Nights - Monday - Friday 22:00 - 06:00
Sunday nightshift working during the year is also required along with bank holidays

Contract: Permanent

Job Description

As a Production Hygiene Operative, you’ll have the ability to reach the highest standards of cleanliness to ensure site quality and safety standards are met. Working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, you’ll use a variety of machinery and equipment across a range of tasks. You’ll work in a close-knit team, but you’ll also be expected to work independently, working with enthusiasm and determination to get the job done. 

  • Experience in cleaning within a role
  • Comfortable with long periods of standing, lifting and carrying
  • Comfortable with working in a food environment
  • No evidence of respiratory problems (as working in a bakery environment has exposure to flour and dust and would not suit individuals with respiratory problems)
  • Legal entitlement to work in the UK (e.g. Valid VISA or Work Permit for non EEC residents)
  • Flexible in availability for working hours (as may be required to work different shifts each week, or asked to work overtime)



Reporting to the Site Services Supervisor, you will be part of a team specialising in the cleaning and sanitising of production equipment for safe use within the production processes.   
Key Responsibilities: ? Ensure equipment is cleaned and sanitised in line with procedures. ? Ensure that when equipment is rebuilt in readiness for use it is to the required standard. ? Ensure that equipment is cleaned and ready for use in line with production requirements. ? Complete all relevant documentation in line with requirements. ? All activities are in line with the sites BRC requirements. ? Carryout all duties in line with Health and Food Safety standards and procedures 
Key Requirements ? Good interpersonal skills ? Ability to communicate at all levels ? Problem-solving skills ? Previous experience in a similar role  ? Enthusiasm ? Able to prioritise own work load and react to unplanned changes.  ? Full flexibility for shifts is required for this role

Note: Testing will be used to ascertain levels of numeracy and literacy.
