Leisure Club Manager - Solihull

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our management team as a Leisure Club Manager. The ideal candidate will primarily be around to manage the leisure club operation fully, have the ability to communicate effectively between your colleagues and with other departments within the hotel. The ideal candidate will need to be able to integrate with our guests, manage the safety of the leisure club, the performance of the team and have an strong focus on delivering outstanding cleanliness and product standards. You will have a good knowledge of the hotel's facilities and services and will pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises, in order to offer the highest level of customer service.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • To ensure every effort is made to meet guest and member needs, with all comments and complains being actioned following procedures laid down by the Hotel policies and procedures.
  • Welcoming all guests and non-residents in a friendly and inviting manner. Ensure checks are done before being allowed entry to the club, and ensure that the reception area is clean and tidy and well stocked of consumable items.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the gym, pool, sauna and changing room areas at all times. 
  • Consistently ensuring safety standards and the training of the team is up to date at all times. 
  • Dealing with general enquiries from hotel guests and non-residents to the best of your ability.
  • To undertake membership administration duties, including the monthly payments as directed by hotel management.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets set by the hotel manager.
  • Meet and exceed safety standards ensuring the safety of the leisure club is at an optimum at all times.
  • Train, develop and manage the performance of your team ensuring a strong focus on developing the skills and experience of the base. 
  • Answering call and emails and ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Ensuring all team members are following health and safety standards and checks are done correctly and accurately in line with the company procedures. This includes safety checks, pool tests and plant room checks throughout the shift.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate that they can multi task effectively, be enthusiastic and positive in their nature and have a willingness to learn. They also must have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as individually, the role does include an element of lone working. 

    Shift times will vary, usually 6am - 2.00pm or 2.00pm - 10.30pm, depending on business demands and needs. You may be required to undertake other management duties during your time in this role.

The hotel boasts 216 rooms, 13 meeting and event rooms ranging from 2 to 200 delegates, a brasserie, lounge & a la carte restaurant. We also have an onsite leisure club with swimming pool, sauna, steam room and onsite gymnasium.
