Football Coach (Casual) | Stechford Cascades

Location: Stechford Cascades, Station Road, Stechford, Birmingham, B33 8QN

Hours:  Casual hours, Monday, Friday and Saturday

Salary: £9.50 per hour

An excellent opportunity is available to join this established and fun team on our Birmingham Leisure contract. We are recruiting for a Casual Football Coach to work at Stechford Cascades with the possibility of a regular contract in the future.

Early into 2018 we moved into our brand new 8-million-pound leisure centre, with 2 pools, state of the art 100 station gym, work out studio and 4 court sports halls.

Job PurposeTo coach and guide individuals/groups through instruction and training to improve/teach football skills and knowledge. To analyse the performance and provide direction in how to improve their technique.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and set up each session.
• Deliver a range of high-quality football coaching sessions.
• Ensure all health and safety standards are met.
• Support children’s needs and provide feedback on their performance.
• Ensure first aid facilities are available.

 Essential / Desirable Skills for the role

• Hold a minimum level 1 NGB FA coaching qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
• First Aid & Child protection.
• Proven experience of working in a similar role/environment.
• Be able to plan for & execute coaching sessions.
• To be physically fit to undertake the role
• Have good customer care and communication skills.
• Be able to work with people of all ages and lead/motivate a team.
