We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and talented IT professional to join our highly successful and award-winning team as ICT Projects Manager.

Based at The Grand and reporting to the Group Finance Director in these busy events’ led hotels, this newly created position is a key contributor to the hotels' success – responsible for ensuring the quality and delivery of IT systems for the hotels and their guests; ensuring the ongoing IT strategy is fit for business, delivers value for money and exceeds customer expectations.

You will be joining a progressive organisation in the process of improving the ICT infrastructure to deliver reliable and resilient support for all aspects of hospitality. You will be responsible for front-of-house, restaurant and conference systems as well business systems, telecommunications and telephony – you’ll need to be flexible, adaptable and be prepared to be hands on as well as strategic.

Ideal candidates will have previous proven ICT and project management experience for a minimum of 5 years in a similar role within the hospitality industry preferably in a hotel, or similar high quality events or customer focused establishment.

To be successful in your application for the position, you must display the following:
• Experience of project management and budgeting with the ability to plan and develop contingency plans
• A strong and charismatic people person able to communicate and “get the message” across at all levels, being fully connected to all areas of the business
• Ability to multi task on focus on multiple projects and use own initiative to set own deadlines and prioritise a heavy workload
• Experience of hotel applications, such as Opera, Symphony, Aloha and Delphi
• Experience of PC, Laptop and Server hardware and operation
• Experience of telephony systems and technology such as IP telephony and Mitel
• Experience in the use and management of “cloud” services and hosting
• Experience of managing external suppliers, particularly IT services suppliers where fault handling is monitored and managed
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• Current technical skills and knowledge of technology
• General understanding of IT infrastructure trends and technologies, including networks, databases, business applications, and telephony
• Dynamic and forward thinking
• Market aware – both in terms of competition and trends
