Venue Assistant - Hounslow

We are looking for a Venue Assistant for Wellington Day Centre.

Since 1989 we've enjoyed a special place in the heart of the local community. Our varied activities includes Keep Fit, Chairobics and Bingo, as well as a daily library book exchange service. Our centre recently benefited from funding to provide a much-needed extension. It is a day centre for members only- and for older people.

We are looking for a Venue Assistant who can work Monday – Friday, 9am -1pm and be a key holder of the site. The role is member facing so you will need to possess great customer service skills.

Some of the responsibilities of the role will include (but are not limited to):

• Welcome and assist visitors to the Centre in the absence of Centre Manager and Management Committee.
• Be responsible for the cleaning of the Centre and operating cleaning machinery
• Act as a key holder and to be called out to deal with emergencies at the Centre.
• Be responsible for the security of the building together with the contents including locking and unlocking of the Centre, setting alarms, ensuring all doors are locked when the site is closed and lights and heating are switched off.
• Notify Centre Manager on Health and Safety and maintenance issues.
• Welcome and assist visitors to the Centre in the absence of Centre Manager and Management Committee.
• Assist with porterage duties including the layout of furniture for activities and meetings.
