Job SummaryTherole of Junior Sous Chef is vitally important to our culinary team and requiresthe ability to act as an assistant department head to supervise day to daykitchen operations and staff.

Areasof focus include all food preparation areas including Banquets, Room Service,Restaurant, bar/lounge and associate cafeteria to ensure a consistent, highquality food product.

Specificduties include but are not limited to;

Workingwith the Food and Beverage management team and associates to continuallyimprove guest and associate satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget

Assist management in hiring, training,scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, and motivating and coachingemployees; serve as a role model.

MaintainHealth & Safety documentation in accordance with company standardsincluding food logs.

Ensurepersonal and team uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional

Speak with others using clear and professionallanguage, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with otherswhilst listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of otheremployees.

Prepare and cook food according to recipes,quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist

Follow all company and safety and securitypolicies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, andunsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
