Hello we’re BatFast. We are a global sports technology company that has experienced rapid growth
since our inception. We design, build and manufacture cricket simulators, as part of our relentless
pursuit to increase participation in cricket. Our partners are from a variety of industries, but they
always share the same passion as us to make cricket one of the most played sports globally.

2019 is set to be a momentous year for English cricket, as a British company we are seeking to
capitalise on this fantastic opportunity. Hence, we are currently in the process of rolling out our
simulators across the UK’s best leisure and entertainment centre operators. To help with this we are
looking for talented, proactive and ambitious individuals who can lead cricket into the modern age.

Objectives and Targets


As a business development manager, you'll need to:

  • Help to plan sales campaigns and create a sales pipeline
  • Negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases
  • Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management.
  • Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation, generate leads and cold call prospective customers
  • Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone
  • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
  • Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
  • Draw up client contracts - depending on the size of company, this task may be completed by someone else or agreements may not be as formal
  • Have a strong understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them
  • Ensure staff are on board throughout the organisation, and understand the need for change and what is required of them
  • Train members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate
  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
  • Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
  • Demonstrate a strong commercial awareness with understanding of trends and changes in the business world.

Skills required

  • Strong B2B sales experience, with email, phone and F2F etiquette.
  • You have a leadership presence to direct our talented and youthful commercial team.
  • You exhibit emotional intelligence to effectively manage different personalities.
  • You have experience with financial reporting and forecasting
  • Experience with operational management.
  • Experience with project management.
  • You have an ability to network with different groups of people.
