The role of Head Chef

As Head Chef, you will need to demonstrate a love for seafood and be able to confidently lead your team to deliver the exacting standards we aim for at Rockfish. Positive energy, professionalism and the desire to aim for excellence are the key traits we are looking for in a Head Chef. Our aim is to be the best at what we do and change the way people experience seafood. This includes working with the freshest and most sustainable product cooked in a variety of ways - our menu covers chargrilling, frying and cooking on the plancha.

As a Head Chef you will…

Inspire your team - coach and mentor them - helping them to reach their full potential
● Manage the kitchens seasonal labour demand
● Create high quality food and ensure your kitchen runs smoothly
● Have plenty of experience in busy kitchens and be able to work under pressure
● Have good knife skills
● Achieve sales, labour and other controllable costs
● Always positively represent Rockfish and live by “Our Values”
● Deliver quality consistent products to all our customers
● Strive to achieve high levels of customer service at all times.
● Participate as a member of the management team, attending all meetings
● Continually improve your knowledge of Rockfish procedures and products and the skills involved in delivering these.
