The Pub

The Roe Deer was a family home called Lawnswood House, built for the Foley family between 1813 and 1816 during the reign of King George III, in the Regency style. This means that it has wonderful high ceilings and huge casement windows that flood the rooms with natural light from the ancient gardens that surround it.

The building lends itself beautifully as a pub and now has a large bar at the heart of the building. Outside there is a stone terrace to the front, which enjoys sunsets framed by the grand old trees, and views out across the lawn and the fields beyond. Upstairs, enjoying the same views you will find a private dining room which will comfortably seat 14.

The Role

Here at Brunning & Price we have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Sous Chef to join our team based in Stourbridge. Whilst working for us you will receive a highly competitive salary of up to £26,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits.

Are you an experienced Junior Sous Chef with a real passion for quality fresh food?

As a Junior Sous Chef you'll work across all areas of the kitchen and have the ability to confidently manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.

Our Junior Sous Chefs are involved in a range of duties including:

- Fresh food preparation
- Embracing our food culture and designing regularly changing menus
- Setting and reviewing GPs
- Managing wage targets
- Ordering
- Stock control
- Meeting food safety and cleaning standards
