Kitchen Assistant (Porter) for busy West London casino

The Grosvenor Victoria Casino on Edgware Road is currently looking for an experienced night shift Kitchen Assistant (Porter)

• Up to 40 hours per week, which will include working predominantly night shifts and also at the weekend
• Plus an additional 10% ‘Premium Rate’ paid on top of hourly rate for all hours worked between midnight and 8am
• Option of hot meal on shift

Key Duties include:

• Providing a courteous and efficient service that complies with all set standards of service
• Providing a clean and hygienic work environment before, during and after food service
• Providing reasonable support to the kitchen brigade in the preparation and service of food
• Offering support to the casino with manual handling tasks
• Having a working knowledge of the day to day back of house operation, kitchen production operations and cleaning routines
• Complying with all Company hygiene standards, policies and procedures
• Ensuring all cleaning materials and chemicals are stored in the correct manner
• Reporting any equipment faults

The successful applicant will:

• Have knowledge and experience of COSHH ( Not essential, training will be provided)
• Have experience of working in a 24 hour, 7 days a week operation, where customers are at the heart of the business
• Demonstrate a desire to offer the very best in customer service, even in challenging conditions
• Understand the importance of teamwork
• Be flexible to work night shifts and weekends
• Have a good standard of spoken English
• Be eligible to work in the UK
