Group Bookings Manager - Gaucho London 

We have an exciting new opportunity in Gaucho's Group Bookings Team for a Group Booking Manager. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a group bookings role within hospitality, and have a confident and warm personality.

The primary function is to deal with group enquiries of relevant restaurants and convert them to reservations. The Groups Booking Manager will be an ambassador for the brand to ensure Gaucho is represented accurately (product and restaurant knowledge) and in keeping with excellent service standards.

• Organisation and reporting

Enquiries
• Is the contact person for allocated restaurants’ group enquiries and deals with all enquiries in a timely manner
• Be the point of contact for guests wanting to book parties of 9+
• Follow the correct procedure for confirming bookings, including deposits, card details, pre orders of menus and drinks and issuing terms and conditions.
• Provides accurate information regarding Gaucho product offering (group menus, wine and drinks) so as best to inform the guest and guide them to a suitable dining package, upselling as required.
• Understands that the guest experience begins at enquiry and ensures all guests are dealt with in line with service standards of excelled hospitality and Gaucho policies and procedures.
• Have an understanding of how to offer the added experiences, e.g. masterclasses, wine tastings.
• Wine pairing knowledge in order to recommend to guests.

Communication
• Is key liaison point between guest and restaurant management team to ensure smooth running of event
• Is responsible for providing restaurant with complete and detailed function sheet including all booking-specific information, such as menu choice; wine requirements; allergy info; payment details; table set-up etc
• Follows up on every reservation to get guest feedback, which must be passed on to the restaurant team and relevant Restaurant General Manager
• Regular meetings with Restaurant Managers to fully understand and support the restaurant’s needs.

Organisation and reporting
• Maintains an up-to-date tracker of all enquiries and their current status via Colins
• Send daily reports to the restaurants complete with menu choices
• Follows up on enquiry at every stage to ensure good rate of conversion from enquiry to confirmation

Networking
• Host and participate at in house PA and event agency events
• Attend external networking showcase when required to support department
