Group Director of Sales - Head Office Newcastle

About the role…

As a key member of the Group's Senior Management Team, you will provide leadership, set expectation and drive a sales culture across our multiple sites and brands. 

Working closely with the Head Office Sales and Marketing teams and Heads of Sales from across the UK, you will focus on driving sales and a business mix for Rooms and MICE, that continue to convert and support our growing and successful business.

You will deliver vision and leadership that provide a clear direction of travel for our Sales & Marketing strategies across the Group. Monitoring our sales and forcecasting at Group, Regional and local levels, you will lead a culture that celebrates success and proactively addresses any gaps.

As an ambassador for our Group and multiple brands you will display professionalism and lead by example in all internal and external activity. With a thorough understanding of our market mix and key accounts, you will lead a Sales & Marketing function that deliver the plans, activities, campaigns and pricing strategies to support the Group's budget and wider commercial plans.  

About you…

  • A strategic player but still with an appreciation of the detail and the knowledge of how to get stuff done! 
  • You will empower others to hit stretching yet achievable targets  - plus have the very best communication skills and be able to lead, coach and motivate 
  • Results orientated, you will bring the ability to proactively identify new markets or gaps that represent sales and marketing opportunities at local, regional or Group level
  • You will bring significant knowledge of the hospitality market - and develop/ maintain relationships with key agents, clients and influencers
  • As the Group's leading light in sales, you will create a sense of ‘one team’ that delivers the right behaviours and results 
  • You will have a proven track record of leading sales in a hospitality environment - and you will want to join a team that delivers as one!
