The Sands Centre in Carlisle, Cumbria is looking for Seating Crew to assist with the set up and take down of seating systems in the main Hall for shows and events. The normal working hours for this would be evenings - sometimes late into the night, weekend and occasional day shifts during panto season.

Operated by GLL, the UK's largest charitable social enterprise, The Sands Centre is Cumbria's and South West Scotland's premier venue for entertainment and sports. The centre caters to over 750,000 customers a year and plays host to an exciting mix of shows for all the family, some of comedy's biggest names, musicals from the West End, international orchestras, pop artists, ballet and opera.

As Seating Crew, you'll help with the set up and take down of events on both small and large scales; some heavy lifting tasks may also be required, so a reasonable level of physical fitness will be necessary. There is usually a quick turnaround for events, so you'll need to be able to work within set timeframes. You'll understand the importance of maintaining a safe work environment and be able to follow health and safety protocols.

Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be given. Your attention to detail, professionalism and high standards of health and safety will be second to none. Although working as part of a wider team, you will be expected to manage yourself and your own workload and be self-motivating.
