Maintenance Engineer - Alexandria

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance requirements at both Loch Lomond Golf Club. This includes all aspects of the club maintenance ensuring all standards are met to create a world class experience for members and guests.

The responsibilities include; the maintenance and improvements of all the buildings which will include; interior wall and floor coverings, furniture and fabrics, heating, plumbing, pipework and air conditioning, electrical safety and consumption, water safety and consumption, boilers and pumping systems, sewage treatment plants, heating fuels (kerosene, red diesel and liquid petroleum) waste management and associated facilities whilst working closely with all departments and ensuring Health and Safety regulations relating to workplace and work practices are fully complied.

These responsibilities will be achieved through the implementation of comprehensive short and long-term planning, constant debriefing of work programmes, adjusting priorities of work activities working around the club’s busy daily events and related issues, carefully managing maintenance works while always environmentally friendly conscious.  

Skills and Experience

  • 2-4 years’ experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Assistant Engineer
  • Certificate in maintenance engineering or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Electrical 17th edition wiring regulation qualification
  • Ability to oversee contractors with regard to Health and Safety
  • Keen eye to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of housekeeping all the time
  • Flexible approach and the ability to complete jobs across a number of trade
  • Friendly personality with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of providing a maintenance service within a customer focused environment
  • Ability to organise workload and maintain records
  • A good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Responding well to pressure and demanding deadlines
  • Proactive and able to take the initiative, solve problems and provide solutions
  • Ability to use all Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience of effective working team relationships
