We are looking for a forward thinking and reliable individual to join the Group Procurement Systems Department in Marston's Group Services.  The role will involve developing and maintaining procurement processes and systems, covering all areas of the business. This will encompass all aspects of the purchase to pay process including e-sourcing, master data maintenance, purchase order creation and supplier invoicing.  For the successful candidate looking for career progression within Marston’s there will be the opportunity to develop primarily in purchase to pay systems development but also within the procurement function. Training will be provided to develop this experience by the Procurement Project Manager.

Job Role

  • Co-ordinate meetings with colleagues and suppliers to improve and develop existing procurement processes across the business
  • Maintaining material and vendor master data in SAP
  • Maintaining and developing processes within the team
  • Maintaining the SRM Organisation Structure and catalogue data
  • Representing the team on SAP related projects
  • Producing regular and ad-hoc procurement reports using BW or SAP
  • Providing SRM system support for order raisers and approvers across the business
  • Assist in development of more efficient workflows for administrative functions predominantly using Winshuttle.
  • First line support for buyers and suppliers on Marston's e-sourcing system
  • Providing cover for the Procurement Project Manager

Ideal Candidate

  • Well organised, pro-active and forward thinking
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • A sound understanding of SAP and good Microsoft Excel skills
  • An eye for detail with the ability to identify process gaps
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • A professional approach at all times, in particular when dealing with suppliers and internal colleagues
  • Current full UK driving licence and the ability to drive to various locations around the UK.
