We have a fantastic opportunity for a positive and enthusiastic Bartender to join our new Bar & Restaurant team at The Trafalgar St. James, Curio Collection by Hilton. Join one of the most iconic hotels in Central London, right on Trafalgar Square, and help us to create a wondrous place in people’s lives.

We are currently looking for a driven and outgoing Bartender with a passion to explore mixology and deliver excellent guest experiences. You will be able to spot new trends in the drinks industry , engage with guests and ensure they have a wondrous time, and always look out for new ways of improving the service in our fantastic Bar & Restaurant outlets.

Key Responsibilities

When working as a Bartender you must enjoy creating wondrous experiences through drinks for our guests and have a passion for delivering the highest levels of customer service. You will;

• Liaise with all team members to ensure swift and efficient drink service to the tables
• Help with opening and closing duties, prepare and serve drinks, stock items, ensure the cleanliness of the site and assist in the reordering process.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all menu items provided and identifying opportunities for up-selling and promoting when appropriate;
• Ensure team members work together and communicate to provide a continuously high standard of service to our guests
• Report and follow up on any comments, VIP arrivals or guest queries as they occur

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate is an individual who genuinely cares about bartending and the mixology trade. Willing to learn and develop, this person will enjoy providing excellent service to our guests and use their intuition and creativity to deliver a wondrous experience for everyone. The ability to multitask and prioritise is important, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. As a minimum we would expect you to have excellent command of spoken English and an ability to engage and connect with guests, with a creative, forward thinking approach. Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns and a desire to provide exceptional customer service is essential. Experience within a similar environment is preferable, however we recruit for attitude rather than experience and will give you the tools to ensure you will be successful in your role.
