Catering Assistant

If you have experience of working in catering, enjoy working with the general public and are looking for a part-time weekend job, our Catering Assistant vacancy could be for you.

We are seeking a reliable individual to join the Catering team on a permanent basis in the café at our Herons Leisure Centre working on a Sunday 09.00-16.30 (+ overtime on an ad-hoc basis to cover special events and holidays and sickness)

Some of your duties will include:

• serving customers
• cooking and food preparation
• maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the servery and dining areas
• stocking and cleaning vending machines
• checking stock deliveries

What you'll need:

• previous experience of working in catering
• great customer service skills with experience of working with the general public
• to be a good communicator with a positive attitude
• to be flexible and reliable with regards to working hour
• ideally Level 2 Food Hygiene qualified, although funding is available for the right candidate to gain this
