Experienced Labourer - Talacre Beach Resort - Holywell

Role overview

The team at Talacre Beach Resort now have a position available for an Experienced Labourer to join them for a period of sickness cover. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key part of the team at this stunning five star resort. While this role will be based at Talacre, you will be required to assist at all of our North Wales resorts, including New Pines Holiday Park in Rhyl, and Aberconwy Resort and Spa in Conwy.

This coastal resort is surrounded by lush countryside and grounds, meticulously kept and maintained to ensure a five star aesthetic. Upon joining the team, the person selected for this role will take on a number of day to day responsibilities. These will vary, but will mainly consist of assisting the Grounds, Maintenance and Siting teams in the moving and siting of lodges, grass cutting and strimming and concreting, drain laying and other general plumbing and maintenance work.

You will take part in various restorative and renovation projects, carrying out tasks such as painting and joinery.

We are looking for an individual with a good work ethic who will approach the heavy workload with enthusiasm and a can do attitude. Due to the physically demanding nature of this role, a good level of fitness is required.

Due to the requirement to work at our resorts across North Wales, a full driving licence is essential to this role.

This is a sickness cover role to work full time hours. This will primarily be weekdays however some weekend cover may be required occasionally.

This role is ideal for candidates searching for Grounds or Maintenance jobs within a commutable distance of Talacre.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the repair and maintenance of all lodges and other company buildings, as required.
• General maintenance within the holiday units.
• Assist teams at all of the Darwin Escapes North Wales resorts.
• Completing various grounds works such as turfing, to a high standard.
• Check all plant and equipment maintenance are complete.
• Comply with all maintenance jobs issued.
• Ensure the general upkeep of the grounds, including grass cutting, strimming, edging and turfing.

What experience you will need

• Similar previous experience is desired.
• Previous maintenance and labouring experience is essential

What skills you will need

• Full UK driving license is required.
• Some plumbing knowledge.
• Basic maintenance and grounds knowledge is an advantage.
• Excellent work ethic is essential.
• Good level of physical fitness is key due to the demanding nature of the role.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
