You will be a Site Services Team Leader used to working in a food manufacturing environment. You will have strong team building and influencing skills. You will also have experience of cleaning chemicals, waste regulations, cleaning techniques and water hygiene standards. You must have knowledge of risk assessments, an understanding of all health, safety and environmental standards. You will have overall responsibility for the weekday hygiene team, inclusive of operators and your ability to challenge the norm is essential. You will report directly to the site services supervisor.

Pay Rates

£10.19 per hour (6am – 6pm) /£11.46 per hour (6pm – 10pm)

Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours

5 days out of 7.  Flexibility between 6am & 10pm. To include Saturdays. Bank holiday working is also required

Job Description

Ensure all planned cleans are completed to a high standard.

Have day to day control of all aspects of the site services areas.

Ensure all scheduled cleans are completed and communicated.

Ensure that all information is recorded accurately and checked.

Improve clean levels and reduce micro.

Monitor effectiveness of cleans in conjunction of labour costs with a view to continuous improvements.

Work within set budgets.

Ensure that a relevant training plan is in place and agreed for all staff under their control.

Monitor all key performance indicators.

Ensure there is daily liaison with all staff, internal customers, planning, production and other functions when necessary.

Ensure that cleaning is conducted in line with food safety standards

Ensure that labour is available along with equipment available when required.

Skills

Experience of carrying out root cause problem solving

Experience of managing/supervising a diverse workforce

Ability to challenge and drive change initiatives to improve business performance

Level 3 food safety certificate

Good understanding of health, safety and environmental standards within a manufacturing environment

An understanding of manufacturing engineering operations would be desirable.

A COSHH or other relevant hygiene, food safety or chemical handling certificate would be advantageous.

The ability to manage fixed labour and consumables budget whilst demonstrate cost saving activities would be desirable

Experience of managing a Hygiene Management System

It would be an advantage if the person has BRC or equivalent experience
