Flights & Ticketing Specialist - London

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our London office for an experienced Flights and Ticketing Specialist to join our busy flights team. The role will involve accurately issuing all tickets within the department to prevent ADMs and save costs where possible in accordance with Scott Dunn procedures. You will also assist with training existing team members in all aspects of flights and provide a helpdesk for the sales team with fare queries.

Working with the Flights & Ticketing team, you will be an individual with exceptional attention to detail, outstanding time management and organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  1. To actively provide support to our sales team on a daily basis
  2. Work alongside Sales Managers and Head of Sales Operations to ensure all sales teams receive regular feedback and training
  3. Accurate issuance of air tickets using the GDS
  4. To be fully conversant with all aspects of the GDS and keep up to date with IATA developments
  5. Fare calculation and re-issue air exchange tickets
  6. To be fully conversant with all ticketing duties including airline contracts, CAT35 fares and procedures
  7. Maximise revenue and margin opportunities by issuing the best possible option for our guests and recovering monies wherever possible e.g. tax refunds
  8. Assist with all aspects of allocation bookings when required
  9. Investigation of Agency Debit Memos
  10. Continually seek new ideas and suggestions to improving processes
  11. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well within a busy team
  12. Being on the emergency phone call rota and taking emergency calls out of hours as and when needed

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge of Galileo
  • Fully conversant in all aspects of Galileo ticketing and with airline contracts and procedures (knowledge of group or allocation flights is advantageous)
  • Strong Excel and numerical skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team
  • Excellent communication skills
