Job Purpose:

As a senior member of the Facilities Team, the Facilities Support Manager will provide the focal point for all projects within the FM elements of the Skynet Contract, including the Forward Maintenance Register (FMR), contract variations and development of the follow-on contract solution.  The role will also provide Authorised Person (AP) services to operational sites as required.

The role will be predominately based from SGS Oakhanger (Hampshire), but frequent travel and some overnight stays at other Skynet sites will be required (Wiltshire).

Key Duties:

  • The project management and delivery of FM related projects including change requests (CR’s), planned complexed planned maintenance and asset replacement. 
  • Ownership of compiling costs, managing budgets, scheduling, stakeholder management etc.
  • Assist with the implementation of Strategies and Growth to sustain & develop the FM capabilities.
  • Accountable for contractual compliance and performance of projects.
  • Personnel management of Facilities Support Team, conducting PDR’s etc.
  • Accountable for role specific Material Obligations and Contractual KPIs
  • Accountable for effective and economic operation of the Facilities Support Team
  • Accountable for compliance to the Serco Management System (SMS) policies
  • Accountable for Statutory and technical infrastructure compliance
  • Review Contract Change Request proposals and major FMR Infrastructure Projects
  • Travel and some overnight stays will be a part of this role to other Skynet sites in the South of England (Hampshire and Wiltshire).
  • Conduct routine FM audits of the Skynet sites to ensure legislative and contractual compliance.
  • Be responsible for centralising and owning FM processes and procedures across all Skynet sites.

Skills and Experience:

  • Project Management Qualification such as Prince 2, APM etc.
  • Member of CIBSE or similar
  • A degree, HNC or similar Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Full Car Driving License
  • Qualified Authorised Person (AP) in electrical, mechanical, working at height, confined spaces.
