A job with Merlin isn’t like a job anywhere else. With attractions around the world, from rollercoasters to wax figures, we don’t trade in suits, handshakes or briefcases. We trade in fun. In smiles, shrieks and spine-tingles.

In Memories. In magic. But there are no tricks behind our magic. Instead, there are people like you. Passionate, dedicated people who are committed to making sure our worldwide attractions and guests’ experiences are the best they can be.

Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for an e-Commerce Partner Manager to join our Global Digital team – part of the Merlin Digital family.  This role will be based at our Merlin Business Support office in Chessington, Surrey.

Reporting into the Head of e-Commerce Optimisation, the ecommerce Partner Manager will be responsible for managing the key partners associated with the development of Merlin’s online / e-commerce estate, including new openings. The focus will be to ensure a healthy and productive relationship that allows the third party to make significant positive contribution to the efficacy of the experience and ultimately delivering an exceptional end-to-end UX/UI on a global basis.

The role will….

• Manage the existing online estate, providing development solutions that will deliver short / medium term commercial ROI.
• Work with Head of E-commerce Optimisation to scope, design and develop the single web platform with particular focus around functionality that is currently provided by third parties as well as integration with long term partners such as Accesso and manage the ongoing upgrade / enhancement, as required for all sites including new openings.
• Own and drive the relationship with key e-commerce partners, including ownership of the development pipeline with Accesso, rollout of Qubit, review other third parties and manage as relevant.
• Work closely with the various attraction based Web Managers to ensure that they are able to optimise conversion – and identify and address any relevant conversion issues associated with third party partners, as required.
• Identify best practise and ensure that this is rolled out across the estate, where relevant.

We are looking for the following skills and experience…

• Have experience of working within a similar role
• Experience of managing specialist teams and delivering exceptional solutions via third party partners.
• Highly numerate with strong commercial acumen.
• Skilled in presenting and explaining technical information.
• Experience in website development within online retail or other relevant industry.
• Previous CMS experience, Umbraco and Episerver preferable.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Be an excellent communicator and influencer
• Budgeting and financial management experience
• A data driven, proactive and creative approach to problem solving
• Flexibility in adapting to fast-changing priorities and fast paced work environment
• Strong organisation skills, with the ability to multi-task and hit the ground running within a hands on role
• You thrive on ownership and accountability – and have a proven track record of acting on your own initiative to deliver change

The Benefits…

We’re growing fast and alongside a fun and friendly environment, we offer a fabulous package and amazing prospects – ideal if you’re already fantastic and can quickly become even better (our magic can help here).  Benefits include Pension, Life Assurance, discretionary company bonus, 25 days’ holiday and, of course, a Merlin Magic Pass which gives you and your friends and family free admission to all of our attractions worldwide, as well as 25% discount in our retail shops and restaurants and 40% discount on LEGO.
