Location: Homes Based with extensive travel across East England

Due to a recent period of growth and transformation we are recruiting a Training and Assessment Officer to join our Serco Skills team. 

Our first-hand experience and knowledge of employing and supporting Apprentices has seen Serco place Apprentices in 80 contracts across the UK. We are an Ofsted registered national training provider of Apprenticeships and are well placed to offer work-based competency training to both businesses and employees to support their career progression. Serco's Skills team are a part of Serco's Employment, Skills and Enterprise (ESE) business.

About the Role:

As the successful Training and Assessment Officer, you will be responsible for deliverying full Apprenticeship Standards & Frameworks at level 2 & 3 in Management, Team Leader/Supervisor, Business Administration and Customer Service. This will include the delivery of Functional Skills (Maths, English and ICT where appropriate).

About You:

We are looking for an experienced Assessor/Training and Assessment Officer in Management, Team Leader/Supervisor, Business Administration and Customer Service. We are keen to hear from those who have a background working as a Manager preferably within public sector/local government (however not essential).  Key requirements also include:

  • Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT
  • Experience of assessing vocational qualifications in the sector subject area; 
  • Relevant occupational qualifications; 
  • Knowledge of the QCF frameworks; 
  • Knowledge / experience of apprenticeship frameworks
  • Knowledge/experience of apprenticeship standards
  • Assessor Qualified, A1, TAQA or D32, D33, CAVA
