Junior Sous Chef

The role of Junior Sous Chef isvitally important to our culinary team and requires the ability to act as anassistant department head to supervise day to day kitchen operations and staff.

Areas of focus include all foodpreparation areas including Banquets, Room Service, Restaurant, bar/lounge andassociate cafeteria to ensure a consistent, high quality food product.

Specific duties include but arenot limited to;

Working with the Food andBeverage management team and associates to continually improve guest andassociate satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget

Assistmanagement in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling,disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model.

Maintain Health &Safety documentation in accordance with company standards including food logs.

Ensure personal and teamuniform and personal appearance are clean and professional

Speak with others using clear and professionallanguage, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with otherswhilst listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of otheremployees.

Prepare and cook food according to recipes,quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist

Follow all company and safety and securitypolicies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, andunsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
