Automation Test Engineer - New Castle House - Nottingham

40 hours per week | £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an excellent opportunity for an Automation Test Engineer to join our growing IT team. Using your C# and Selenium skills, you’ll be writing automated tests across various build and release pipelines, reviewing test scripts, creating acceptance criteria for new features and change requests and assist in the implementation of the overall testing strategy.

It’s a really exciting time to join our IT team in Nottingham as we continue to roll out exciting new developments. This opportunity would be ideal for a tester with at least one or two years’ experience in test automation who is looking to develop their skillset and take the next step in their career.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To maintain and evolve the test automation code base to ensure high levels of code
• Regular analysis of Automation failure reports and report defects
• Designing and writing test automation scripts for functional testing using .Net/.Net Core, C#, SpecFlow and Selenium.
• Creating acceptance criteria for new features and change requests.
• Documenting test plans, including test scenarios and scripts to conform end user product and quality requirements.
• Assist in implementation of the overall testing strategy
• Provide estimates for test activities

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1+ years' experience of designing and writing automated test scripts within web based and mobile applications-based environments
• BDD approach to software development using specflow or similar
• Strong test automation experience with Selenium & C#
• Experienced in manual testing
• Good knowledge of automating tests and building frameworks
• Ability to problem solve
• Knowledge of API testing
• Exposure to CI/CD
• Experience of mobile testing preferred but not essential
• Experience of working within an Agile environment preferred but not essential
