We have a vacancy for an experienced Payroll administrator. This is a 15 month fixed term contract to cover mat leave, full time position based in Wolverhampton, reporting to the Payroll Manager.

Job role

  • Assist with the processing of employees pay.
  • Prepare all data input for Payroll processing.
  • Ensure adherence to payroll policies, including statutory changes, as required.
  • Maintain employee data records.
  • Correspond with statutory bodies, as and when needed.
  • Deal with queries, both from employees and internal departments.

Ideal candidate

  • Preferably have a basic knowledge of payroll routines including PAYE/NI.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines and with the minimum of direct supervision.
  • A high level of computer literacy in using Excel and Word is essential. A working knowledge of SAP would be desirable.
  • First class communication and inter personal skills.
  • Previous experience of working within a busy office environment is desirable.
  • Maintaining confidentiality in all duties associated with this role is absolutely vital, as is the ability to deal with issues tactfully and in a diplomatic manner.
  • Be flexible and enjoy working as part of a close knit team.
