Southfield Library, operated by GLL, is looking for a Children's Services Library Volunteer. It is one of 12 libraries operated by GLL in the London Borough of Wandsworth, who issue the most books out of every local authority in London. The library gives access to a wide variety of collections and resources including books, CD and DVD loans, public computers/internet access and study rooms.

With community at the heart of everything we do, as a Children's Services Library Volunteer, you'll ensure that every visitor to the Library is welcomed into a clean, safe and attractive environment that can service their needs and ensure that they want to keep returning.  You'll be a key support with the annual Summer Reading Challenge which takes place suring the summer holidays. We aim to increase the participant numbers this year so your support will be invaluable. As well as this, you'll help out with everyday tasks such as engaging with children and encouraging them to read - just one of the ways that we, as a charitable social enterprise, help make our communities better.
