The Role

• Lead the Westway FC coaching department which consists of participation-focused programmes (4-15 years), performance-focused programmes (7-15 years), as well as a full time football and education programme (16-18 years)
• Recruit, manage, and develop a group of 15 part time coaches to ensure high levels of delivery across all parts of the football coaching programme
• Deliver on the coaching programme yourself (approx. 15 hours coaching per week), across the varied sessions that the club delivers (pay and play, development squad, league teams, camps, futsal, college academy, etc.)
• Complete all necessary organisational, management, and administrative duties to fulfil the role effectively
• Initiate and lead on new projects in line with the needs of the department
• Assist and support the Head of Football and Football Administrator when necessary

The Candidate

• Experienced and qualified football coach (ideally UEFA ‘B’ licensed), with experience of working with players of varied ability and across varied ages
• Experienced in the administration and management of football programmes
• Experienced in managing people, particularly in a football environment
• Takes ownership and initiative to get things done
• Is flexible in order to meet the needs of the department
