GLL is looking for an Assistant Manager based at Kensington Leisure Centre in Notting Hill, West London.

There is no such thing as a typical day as an Assistant Manager. That is what makes this hands on role so special. Here, you could be doing anything from welcoming new staff to pioneering community initiatives from start to finish. Essentially, you will be inspiring your team to be the best they can be and keep every customer happy.

Promoting the centre as a venue of choice, you will need to be on the ball with all aspects of your centre, location and the leisure industry as a whole, from managing teams to consumer trends. In return, we will develop and train you to sharpen your skills in this diverse Assistant Manager role.

Highly organised with budgeting skills, business development experience and a can do attitude, you will be a fast learner who is focused on inspiring communities to get more involved in sport and fitness. Able to think on your feet, you'll also confidently respond to all sorts of issues that arise in a busy centre. Verbal and written communication skills are vital too, combined with resilience, a leisure degree or equivalent experience deep knowledge of leisure operations and a track record of managing in a busy wet or dry leisure centre.
