Cafe Assistant - Lilleshall National Sports Centre

Salary: £6.15 - £8.21p/h

Lilleshall National Sports Centre are looking for a Café Assistant on a 16-hour contract.

As a Café Assistant, your role will be to work within the catering team to achieve high standards of service and customer care at all times.  The role will also ensure food is hygienically prepared and served in accordance with standards laid down by the Supervisor.

On a day to day basis, your duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Carry out cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout
• Undertake and record temperature checks and ensure high standards of food hygiene are maintained
• Ensure customers are served promptly and efficiently
• Ensure financial and cash handling procedures are complied with
• Prepare food and beverages as necessary in accordance with café menus and as required by the Cafe Supervisor
• Replenish stocks within the café and vending machines as required by the Café Supervisor
• Ensure brand standards are maintained and promoted

It is essential that any candidates hold a CIEH or RIPH Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene or a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering, or equivalent.

Although not essential, An Intermediate Certificate in Food Safety would be a bonus.

Furthermore, as a café assistant, you should be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working in a food retail environment and have excellent customer care and communication skills.
