Part-time, 32 hours per week

Nuffield Health, the UK's largest not for profit healthcare provider, is seeking a Fitness & Wellbeing Advisor (Personal Trainer) in one of our corporate Fitness & Wellbeing Gyms.

Our Role

As a Fitness & Wellbeing Advisor (Personal Trainer), this is your chance to provide personal programming that really makes a difference to clients' health and wellbeing. Sharing our passion for the health of others, as a Fitness & Wellbeing Advisor, you will also enjoy scope to change lives for the better. This role is about delivering exceptional customer service, whether interacting and motivating members, delivering Health MOT assessments, programmes and teaching various studio classes, or supporting other members of the on-site Wellbeing Team with promotional events, presentations and other activities. You will also have the opportunity to build your Personal Training business outside your FWA hours. Reporting to the Assistant Programme Director, you will proactively want to develop your knowledge and skills, attending training courses as required, in order to strive to be the best in your profession.

Responsibilities of a Fitness & Wellbeing Advisor

  • To deliver all fitness and wellbeing services (including studio and gym floor classes, Health MOTs, member inductions, programmes, technique correction and health and wellbeing advice) to an exceptional professional standard.
  • To be aware and understand all Health and Safety policies so risks to members and staff are kept to an absolute minimum.
  • To maintain daily cleanliness of the gym equipment and area to required standards of both the client and Nuffield Health, and complete all administration as required for audit compliance.
  • To ensure members are aware of all the services and facilities and any future events which would benefit them and support them in sustainable behaviour change goals and requirements.
  • To keep accurate, up to date administrative records, in accordance with the on-site policies.
  • This includes PT session content and times, open and close procedures, maintenance, repairs reporting and cleaning records.
  • To attend weekly 1-2-1 meetings and team meetings with the Assistant Programme Director, and to complete the agreed KPIs.
  • To support the promotion of the wellbeing facility at all times with an accurate and up to date knowledge of services and future events.
  • Our Ideal Fitness & Wellbeing Advisor will have:

  • A strong background of success in a corporate or commercial fitness environment.
  • Proven ability to teach circuit-based classes, perform fitness assessments and deliver great training, using your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach. You will also be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual.

  • Our Benefits

We want you to be the best you can be. We promise that we will support you with training opportunities, career development options and our unique health & wellbeing focused benefits package. This includes free membership across all of our Fitness & Wellbeing clubs, along with free private healthcare. Not only this but we also offer a range of lifestyle and financial wellbeing benefits.

We want to help you live well and get the balance right in life, so we will give you 25 days holiday - and we will reward you with more annual leave when you build your career with us.
